PHENOMENAL
Went there today for the first time since I was in the area and had heard about it for about the last year or so. Picked up some limpa, coffee bread and cookies.
I was born in Sweden but haven't been back in a long, long time. However, when I tasted the limpa (bread loaf) I felt like I had traveled back in time to the motherland. Same goes for the coffee bread. The butter cookies with different fillings (lemon, raspberry and blueberry) were all excellent. The chocolate cream filled confectionary (called, I believe, Biskvi - although my dad always called them Sarah Bernhardt cookies) were just as I remembered they should be.

We found this place by accident; My husband and I took a little pink box home of goodies. The Butter Cookies with lemon filling was awesome.

Stopped by this bakery for the first time this morning, and I'm very pleased. It is not as sweet as American pastries, which was nice. I had a cinnamon roll that was like a big cinnamon soft pretzel and a chocolate coated almond-cookie-with-chocolate-mouse. Very tasty.

This wonderful bakery relies on word-of-mouth for growing its clientele. The proprietor bakes excellent bespoke European-style cakes and delicious cookies. For those who are not sure what European style means, it signifies far less sugar than that found in American cakes. To European palate, American cakes taste as sweet as twinkies do to a gourmet American. This is a big plus for me, because I have struggled to find Euro-style cakes in the US.
The owner is a friendly chap who uses no preservatives of any kind in his shop. Cookies cost about $8 /lb and most are delectable. My family goes regularly to the bakery for cookies. Several times a year, we order our bespoke birthday cakes from here, cost is around $25-$30 for 8 servings, which is very reasonable for a cake of that quality. Try his cakes instead of cloyingly sugary cakes found in supermarkets and don't forget the delicious, preservative-free, baked from scratch cookies, you won't regret it if you don't mind paying a little bit extra for good baking.
